Artistic Awards

The Rules

– No Age Limit!!

– The SEA Guitar Performance Artistic Awards is open for participants holding non other than Southeast Asia passports :(Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Laos, Singapore, Vietnam, Brunei, Myanmar, Cambodia and Thailand)

– The Artistic Awards is made up of 3 rounds

The Video Qualified 

One Song: from Sounds from the SEA book arranged by Pongpat Pongpradit, the score are available at Sounds from the SEA (all the participants are required to upload unedited live recording of the musical works  onto http://www.youtube.com(set to public) and send the link to your host nation organizer by email or the Facebook accounts (the dead line is on 7th  June 2024, 11:59 PM). Voting (8th to 13th December) will be made at SEA Guitar Festival Facebook Page

*The Video must include!*

1. Self-Introduction (in English!)

– Yourself (Name, Age and Country)

– The title you are participating in (“I would like to take part in the SEA Guitar Performance Artistic Awards THAILAND year 2024″)

– Announcing the musical work

2. Your performance on the guitar

*Participants accumulating the most “Likes” from their Videos will getting special prize from the festival committee*

Live Performance (14th June 2024)

  1. One Song: from Sounds from the SEA book arranged by Pongpat Pongpradit (same Video Qualifying piece)
  2. Free Choice piece(s)
  3. The performance duration 10 to 12 minutes, including the set piece and free choice

Final Award (16th June 2024)

  1. Any piece(s) composed by J.S. Bach
  2. Free Choice piece(s)
  3. The performance duration 18 to 20 minutes, including the set piece and free choice

– The music must be played from memory (except the ASEAN set piece can be play with music score)

– No pieces can be repeated in Live Performance and Final Award

– All participants must introduce themselves to the jury members and audience, preferably in a relaxed and pleasant manner

– The decision of the jury is final

– Only 6 Finalists will march into the Final Award

-Application fee for The Artistic Awards fee is 2,500 Thai Baht

The SEA Guitar Artist of the year 2024:

  • Concert Guitar by Kim Sang Gil (4,000 USD)    
  • Cash 5,000 Baht
  • Concert in the SEA Guitar Festival 2025 in Vietnam
  • Sounds from the SEA Book by Pongpat Pongpradit
  • Award Trophy

The 1st Runner-up:

  • Concert Guitar by Vu Tran (3,000 USD)
  • Cash 3,000 Baht
  • Sounds from the SEA Book by Pongpat Pongpradit
  • Award Trophy

The 2nd Runner-up:

  • Visesnut Fine Case (Active Model)
  • Cash 2,000 Baht
  • Sounds from the SEA Book by Pongpat Pongpradit
  • Award Trophy

Merit Awards:

  • Sounds from the SEA Book by Pongpat Pongpradit
  • Award Trophy

*For the prizes of the Performance Awards, we will inform you in advance in case there is any change.*

*All the participants must contact your organizers in your respective countries to apply. CONTACT

*All the participants who passed the VDO Qualified must pay the fee in Thai Baht to the host nation before or on the briefing day!(13th June 2024)
